Fortunately Ron woke this morning feeling fine with no lingering effects from his food poisoning episode last night. We decided to go back into Sedona and finish touring the area. We drove the lower red rock loop and were again wowed by the scenery.
Then it was on to Boynton Pass the road to the Enchantment Resort. At least two different people told us we should stop there for lunch and enjoy the beauty of the resort built in the midst of the red rocks.
Entering the resort we were greeted by the gate keeper who took our name and license plate number before allowing us to enter.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the entire complex is surrounded by soaring red rocks. It surprised me that Ron was willing to have lunch here because we were told it is very expensive.
There are two restaurants in the facility. One had lunches starting at $44.00 per entrée and the other starting at $14.00. Guess which one we chose! LOL I had a margarita flat bread and Ron had a spicy sausage flat bread. Both were quite good and $14.00 each. Our ice tea was $3.50 per glass – so not too bad.
The service and food was excellent.
After lunch we took a ride to Airport Road overlooking the city of Sedona.
Looking down on Sedona
We noticed that in the last two days all the trees are blossoming green.
Back at the CG we decided to check out the day use areas and were pleasantly surprised to find a great place to walk Jewel. There are several man-made lagoons with walking trails around them.
Jewel was quite pleased with her walk or should I say walks. She has turned into a little pest and has been getting at least 3-4 walks a day. She is also dirty again and is due for bath # 3.
Jewel usually will want to jump up and sit with me at the table – I know, I know, she shouldn’t be sitting at the table. Anyway she came over to me and when I told her to come up she ran to Ron and sat with him. She was positioning herself for another walk. She thought if she charmed him he would take her -- and he did!! LOL
We head on out in the morning for our next stop in Flagstaff to visit the Meteor Crater.
