Today we opted to hang around and enjoy the good weather instead of touring. We have done so much in the area since we arrived it was time for a break.
Ron spent his time preparing for the next leg of our journey – the trip back home. We had thought about storing the MH here, flying home then back and resuming our trip. After much research we discovered that Jewel would have to fly in baggage because she is too big to fit under the seat.
Both cousin Nancy and daughter Kelly have offered to watch her. Both could make arrangements to have her walked (cousin Nancy) and for someone to take her when Kelly & Patrick are on vacation in April. Both good plans, but in the end we decided to make the trip home via MH.
We have a lot to do when we get back so are not sure how long it will take. Plus, Tommy & family will be moving to Maine so we wanted to be home to see them off.
So on Sunday we will begin our journey homeward with plans to get home the first week in April. For now we will relax and enjoy the sun.
OOPHS! Did I say sun. Around 1 PM the sky darkened, the wind picked up and it rained!!!! The first rain we have seen in weeks. By 5 pm the skies cleared, the sun was shining and it was again beautiful.
Did I mention that Jewel has been a little devil since we arrived here. She has been running away looking for friends to play with, barking and just being a little pest!!! Fortunately the people here are super friendly and most have pets of their own so she really isn’t bothering anyone but us because we are not used to her being so verbal or interactive. Even the people that don’t have dogs think she is adorable and are more then willing to spend time petting her. I guess it pays to be cute. LOL
